Customer Highlight

PT Sayap Mas Utama (Wings Group) is a company producing household products and personal health maintenance based in Surabaya, Indonesia. The company was founded on September 21, 1948 under the name Fa Wings. In 1991, it changed its name to Wings Surya. In 1981, the third factory of PT. Cipta Segar Harum (later renamed PT. Lionindo Jaya since 1990 and re-renamed PT. Lion Wings since 2004) was built in Jakarta together with Lion Corporation of Japan to produce brands such as Emeron, Ciptadent and Mama.

The distribution channel that Wings currently enjoys took many years to develop. It took many years to establish strong relationships with retailers, which involved training them in basic entrepreneurial skills and gradually building trust between them and Wings as partners.

As of today, PT. Sayap Mas Utama (Wings Group) has more than 30 kind of product that their produce daily. Today, Wings is recognized as a well-established and prudent business group in Indonesia with particular strength in the manufacture of soaps and detergents. Wings’ products are recognized for their quality and affordability, and are readily available. Throughout the Indonesian archipelago, the Wings name has earned respect, trust and loyalty from wholesalers, distributors, retailers and consumers alike.

 

Implementation Scope

PT Sayap Mas Utama (Wings Group) has implemented SAP ECC and previously implemented in Module HCM, MM, WM, PP, QM, SD & FICO, and for PM it was not implemented. This year for operation PMA (Plant Maintenance Area), with objective:

  • Vested interest by business of maintenance work in their area through the use of maintenance notification and work order approval workflows.
  • Maintenance scheduling/resource view showing work center capacity loading and personnel assignments.
  • Ability to objectively prioritize work so that the most important jobs get done first.
  • View of all types of work in the same system.
  • Document Reservation for Materials Spare Parts generated automatically and linked based on their Storage Location.
  • Materials and purchasing integration directly from the work order. Planners/technicians no longer need to work in segregated work order and purchasing systems.
  • Linked documentation to work orders and technical objects eliminates the need to work in separate systems making information more readily available to technicians.
  • View of maintenance labor, materials, and services costs in a single cost report broken down in a number of different ways including functional area, cost center, and equipment.
  • Maintenance schedule compliance reporting for all types of work that is consistent within and across plants.
  • Repeatable SAP PM implementation process that is fully documented and supported by a trained and capable Client IT and business staff.
