In the conference session, a keynote session and panel discussion were held, attended by Mr. Ignatius Adi Wiranto as Director of PT Soltius Indonesia and Mr. Timo Schaeffler as Chief Representative - SYSTEMA Art of Automation, who discussed the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a software solution that bridges the gap between enterprise-level systems (such as ERP) and the actual production processes on the shop floor. MES serves as a digital backbone for manufacturing operations, providing real-time monitoring, control, and data collection.' MES optimizes production by coordinating and managing tasks like scheduling, resource allocation, work instructions, quality control, and material tracking. It helps manufacturers achieve operational excellence, enhance product quality, reduce production costs, and ensure compliance with regulations. MES enables better decision-making through real-time insights, facilitates efficient communication across the production line, and supports continuous improvement efforts. EI Layer here is Scada (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), DCS (Distributed Control System), SFAC (Shop Floor Automation and Control)
