September 12, 2026 marked an important day for AlamTri Group. The SAP SD, PP, PM, and WM Rollout Implementation Project for PT Kalimantan Aluminium Industry (KAI), PT Kaltara Power Indonesia (KPI), and PT Kaltara Power Services (KPS) officially went live.
This achievement is another significant milestone in the business transformation journey of PT AlamTri Minerals Indonesia Tbk Group, delivered in collaboration with PT Soltius Indonesia.
KAI is part of AlamTri Minerals Group and is developing an integrated aluminium smelter operation in North Kalimantan, Indonesia. As the company strengthens its operations for sustainable growth, it needs a reliable, integrated, and standardized digital platform to support its core business processes.
That is why KAI, together with KPI and KPS, embarked on an SAP S/4HANA rollout initiative. The focus was clear: extend and adopt AlamTri Group's SAP common core model while accommodating the operational needs of the aluminium smelter and its supporting businesses.
Project at a glance
It all started with a Blueprint Workshop in North Kalimantan in April 2026. What followed were months of intensive collaboration across blueprinting, realization, and testing.
August 2026 was a critical phase. End-User Training (EUT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) were held on site in North Kalimantan, making sure users were ready and the system truly fit real operational needs. Data migration and cutover preparation came next, before the system finally went live.
The rollout covered three company codes within AlamTri Group: KAI, KPI, and KPS. The work included rollout, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support for four core modules:
Because they are closely integrated with those modules, several other modules were also impacted and required validation, integration testing, and adjustments: SAP FI (Financial Accounting), SAP CO (Controlling), SAP FM (Funds Management), and SAP MM (Materials Management).
In other words, this rollout was not just about adding new modules. It was about keeping every business flow, from production and warehousing to finance, connected in one complete system.
This go-live is a shared achievement. On the Soltius side, the project was led by Frida Nur Dwiherdianti as Program Manager and Ferdiansyah Fauzi as Project Manager, supported by a team of functional and technical consultants covering every module, from FI, CO, FM, MM, WM, PP, SD, and PM to ABAP and BASIS.
Congratulations and sincere thanks to all teams at AlamTri Group, KAI, KPI, KPS, and Soltius for their dedication, commitment, and collaboration. Go-live is only the beginning. The next chapter is making sure this system keeps delivering value for operations in North Kalimantan.
