The Journey Begins: PT Tempo Scan Pacific Initiates Digitalization with SAP S/4HANA

Great news from The Tempo Group – The Iron Horse Project is officially underway!

JAKARTA, INDONESIA — Indonesian conglomerate The Tempo Group (Tempo Scan) has officially launched a major enterprise-wide digital transformation initiative, dubbed The Iron Horse Project. In a strategic move to modernize its digital infrastructure, the group has partnered with IT consulting firm PT Soltius Indonesia to deploy a cutting-edge SAP S/4HANA core system across its primary business lines.

The massive rollout will centralize and upgrade the operations of Tempo Group’s main pilot companies: PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (TSP)PT Perusahaan Dagang Tempo (PTT), and PT Tempo Nagadi Trading (TNT).

Streamlining a Massive Ecosystem

The Iron Horse Project marks a monumental milestone for the conglomerate. By migrating to the advanced SAP S/4HANA framework, The Tempo Group aims to completely streamline its key operational ecosystems.

The integration is highly complex, bridging the gap between core operations and external platforms. The new system will unite:

  • Core Operations: Manufacturing, procurement, warehouse management, sales, and finance.

  • Satellite Ecosystems: 19 separate, specialized satellite applications currently used across the organization.

The ultimate goal of this digital overhaul is to establish a faster, cleaner, and highly unified data foundation. This robust infrastructure will provide real-time visibility and enhanced efficiency to support Tempo’s extensive network of national branches and distribution hubs.

Guided by "Sepenuh Hati untuk Indonesia"

This technological leap aligns with The Tempo Group's deep-rooted core philosophy, "Sepenuh Hati untuk Indonesia"(With All Our Heart for Indonesia). As a prominent leader in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics industries, the group manages an intricate, end-to-end business model.

About The Tempo Group

With a footprint that spans over 40 interconnected entities, multiple state-of-the-art production facilities, and dozens of regional branches across the archipelago, Tempo Scan relies heavily on seamless coordination. Its digital backbone is managed by specialized entities like PT Tempo Data System, making this SAP S/4HANA migration a critical evolution in maintaining its market leadership.

A Collaborative Milestone

The official kickoff of the Iron Horse Project underscores a high level of collaboration between the two companies. Executive leadership from both organizations have expressed immense pride in the dedication and teamwork displayed by the joint Tempo and Soltius project teams.

As the project moves into its implementation phase, it sets a new benchmark for digital maturity in Indonesia's manufacturing and distribution sectors, positioning The Tempo Group for sustainable, data-driven growth in an increasingly digital economy.
